"The Stone Horse"

The section I was most drawn to in this short story is on page 10 section 3 paragraph 36. In this paragraph Lopez is sitting in his car gathering his thoughts and writing down everything he had seen and his reactions or in his words "drained my memory of the details it had fastened itself upon."  As he was sitting in the car he began to notice all the elements around him, the birds (the only movement in the desert he says) he hears to voices of children and the barks of dogs and at 7 in the evening the unwinding of a long day. I would consider this part to be the imagery part of descriptive writing, in my opinion i felt as if i was sitting right there next to him in the front seat listening and watching the same things he was.
