Audience and Genre Jun 29

Audience is who the writing is speaking to, and genre is the format that it is in. For example familiar audiences to the writer, stated in the text are friends, relatives, classmates, teachers and whose needs and expectations you understand. There are also unknown audiences. Another audience is multiple audiences are used for a wide range of writing as well used in such genres as business memos or reports for a supervisor. Genres are the particular conventions for presenting information.
